All about The Puppet Land

We are so passionate about all things puppet! With educational and fun puppet shows, puppet play and puppet making for children up to the age of 7 we bring the puppets and stories to life.

The Puppetland was founded in 2013 by Olga and Elena and since has been nurtured and grown to bring happiness and joy to children around Boston.

Today The Puppetland offers varying puppet shows, puppet play, puppet making workshops to kindergartens and childcare centres.
Benefits of Puppetry within the EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework)
Puppetry can be closely aligned with the teaching goals of the contributes to all 5 Outcomes children should achieve during their Early Learning stages.
Children explore different identities and points of view in puppet shows.
When doing a puppet show children need to cooperate with others and negotiate roles and relationships in play episodes.
Within puppet shows children are highly engaged in the story.
Children can use puppetry to investigate, imagine and explore their creativity. When creating or replaying stories, they contribute to play experiences of others.
With puppet shows children engage in enjoyable interactions using verbal and non-verbal language. Interactive puppetry helps them respond verbally to what they see and hear.

Little Red Cap

This story of a little girl Masha who goes to visit her grandmother through the forest. On her way, she encounters a wicked wolf who disguises himself as her grandmother in an attempt to deceive her. The story teaches children to be cautious when dealing with strangers and the importance of heeding their parents' advice. In the end, a kind woodsman comes to the rescue and saves Masha and her grandmother from the wolf, and they all live happily

Umka

Umka means "polar bear" in the Chukchi language. This is a gentle and heartwarming winter story about a white bear cub and its relationships with parents and friends. Enchanting music and wonderful puppets will be a delightful surprise for little ones and their parents.

Story about Hedgehog and Bear

The play is based on the tales of Sergey Kozlov and is part of the "Seasons"


The project includes three interactive puppet shows:


1. "How Hedgehog and Bear Caught Autumn"

2. "How Hedgehog and Bear Celebrated Winter”

3. "How Hedgehog and Bear Welcomed Spring"

- 1 hour
- 1 hour

Minimum incursion time is 1 hour with a maximum group size of 20 children. This ensures that all children will have optimal views on the puppet show and can easily engage with characters and story. The puppet theatre can easily be moved between rooms, so repeated shows are optional.

The actual booking time will depend on how long it takes for travel.
The cost is also dependant on travel distance. In most instances the cost is around $500 including travel time, set up, performances and puppet play and pack up.
