All about The Puppet Land
The Puppetland was founded in 2013 by Olga and Elena and since has been nurtured and grown to bring happiness and joy to children around Boston.
Today The Puppetland offers varying puppet shows, puppet play, puppet making workshops to kindergartens and childcare centres.
Little Red Cap
This story of a little girl Masha who goes to visit her grandmother through the forest. On her way, she encounters a wicked wolf who disguises himself as her grandmother in an attempt to deceive her. The story teaches children to be cautious when dealing with strangers and the importance of heeding their parents' advice. In the end, a kind woodsman comes to the rescue and saves Masha and her grandmother from the wolf, and they all live happily

Umka
Umka means "polar bear" in the Chukchi language. This is a gentle and heartwarming winter story about a white bear cub and its relationships with parents and friends. Enchanting music and wonderful puppets will be a delightful surprise for little ones and their parents.
Story about Hedgehog and Bear
The play is based on the tales of Sergey Kozlov and is part of the "Seasons"
The project includes three interactive puppet shows:
1. "How Hedgehog and Bear Caught Autumn"
2. "How Hedgehog and Bear Celebrated Winter”
3. "How Hedgehog and Bear Welcomed Spring"
Minimum incursion time is 1 hour with a maximum group size of 20 children. This ensures that all children will have optimal views on the puppet show and can easily engage with characters and story. The puppet theatre can easily be moved between rooms, so repeated shows are optional.
The actual booking time will depend on how long it takes for travel.

When doing their own puppet show children are able to accept new challenges, celebrate their own efforts and achievements and those of others when experiencing applause after finishing a story.
Manipulating puppets and the theatre (curtains, lights) nurtures complex sensory- and motor skills.
When being part of a puppet show children experience the benefits and pleasures of shared learning exploration. They explore the purpose and function of a range of dramatic tools, media and sounds in order to create an engaging story.
Within puppetry children have to use imagination, creativity and play in order to transport meaning to the audience.
Taking on a puppet character and bringing it to life teaches children to construct messages with purpose and confidence using literacies of home/family and the broader community.
Puppets help children expressing their ideas and feelings in a playful way.
Puppet shows are highly interactive and children easily transform themselves as part of the story when listing to sounds, speech, stories and rhymes. They then respond with gestures, actions, singing, comments and/or questions.
Children use their language to imagine and create own roles. Puppet shows offer unlimited opportunities for children to share stories and symbols of their own culture and re-enact well-known stories.

The Story
The story of The Three Little Pigs has been told to children for years and years. Percy, Petra and Peter head off to build their own house. Soon Peter and Petra get tired and chose to build themselves simple houses made of straw and sticks. Only Percy is taking the challenge and builds himself a house made of bricks.
Which house will stand the big wolf's attempt to eat the little piggies for his dinner?

The Story

The Story
Tom goes to bed grumpy. He is tired of his parents always telling him what to do. When he wakes up and realizes he is all alone he make lots of unhealthy choices. He gets all red and unwell and needs to go to the doctor. The doctor tells him about "sometimes and always food".Luckily Tom wakes up and realizes it has just been a bad dream!
Tom`s Dream is a 15 min shadow puppet show which is then followed by an interactive group discussion on healthy lifestyle options. Children will group felted food and activity objects onto the always and sometimes side of life.

Learn about how to manipulate puppets and bring them to life. How to hold a glove puppet? Can you make a puppet take a bow or wave hello? There are plenty of exciting tips and tricks on how to have fun with puppets..
But puppetry is more than hand puppets and the traditional puppet theatre. Children will also learn about shadow puppets and marionettes.
After getting to know all those interesting insights into puppetry, there will be time for the newborn little puppeteers to play and explore.

There is the choice of making super hero, wizard or princess sock puppets or puppets that the kids create from their imagination.
After the making children learn how to manipulate a puppet and how to give their new friend different facial expressions.
Children will be able to keep their new puppet friend and introduce a new friendly, sad, angry or silly character to their family.
